Sue embraces her role as Executive Director with incredible zeal! A master juggler of responsibilities, she effortlessly handles crafting policies, collaborating with the Board of Directors, devising strategic plans, and engaging with partners and donors. What truly brightens her day? Extending a warm welcome to THRIVERs, seamlessly becoming an integral part of their support team, and indulging in lively conversations! Sue loves to talk with THRIVERs and she is  always ready to give a warm and affectionate hug if desired.

Sue has worked as a business-performance consultant for more than 20 years. During this time, she has developed an expertise in helping patients engage with their healthcare. She does this by providing both in-person and digital education. Her desire to assist people in thriving and not just surviving, motivated her to help create THRIVE. This initiative combines her professional experience with her passion for empowering others to take control of their health.

As a breast cancer survivor, Sue received her diagnosis at the age of 37—just a year after her mother and before her sister faced the same diagnosis. But she sees her diagnosis as a blessing in disguise, an opportunity to uncover a profound sense of purpose through the lessons that life imparts during difficult times. She embraces the belief that finding purpose in adversity is a unique gift. Always ready to extend a helping hand to others, Sue, with her engaging and warm personality, naturally connects and inspires everyone she meets.

Sue holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a master’s degree in Nutrition, and an MBA in Marketing. She is also a certified Myers Briggs Practitioner and has completed the Grief Recovery Method Program. In addition, she is a single mother to two wonderful daughters, Kristi and Kelli, a devoted caregiver to her mother, Bozena, and a faithful dog mom to Greta. With family as her top priority, Sue warmly extends this sentiment to her fellow THRIVERS, considering them an integral part of her extended family.

The launch of THRIVE has been the most exhilarating and rewarding challenge of her career – and the greatest gift.
